       The picture above depicts a football match. The attacker thinks the goalkeeper is so strong and giant that he could not goal successfully. Meanwhile,the goalkeeper feel himself too small to defend the accurate kick.
           What the cartoonist would like to show us is that sometimes we might exaggerate the difficulty and underestimate our abilities. The intended meaning educates us to be confident when confronted with trouble.
           It is reasonable that we lay great significance on confidence which is indispensable in many cases. For instance, once I met a mathematical problem which I could not solve, even racking my brain in high school. So I asked my teacher for help, however, he did not tell me the answer directly and just said to me:         “It’s under your ability and you can work out it in half an hour.” At first, I felt puzzled and despaired and would like to give up Suddenly, an idea emerged in my brain : the teacher had so much confidence on me and I should be confident too. Then I thought over the problem again and again with positive attitude and I solved it soon. Therefore, confidence is an necessary element of success.

However, symbolized by the arrival of the Internet era, net culture has transmitted to public culture.

Net culture nowadays has some significant traits. Initially, with the development of net technology and the influence of commercial capitals, the public cyber space has replaced the one limited to elites. Additionally, the social net culture is revolutionary. Last but not least, it also allows wider participations and interactions.

  One of the social phenomena deserving our attention as well as concerns is the coming of the information era. Just as realistically mirrored in the above two cartoons, in 1990, the man gets information from the newspaper while he uses the computer after 20 years.

  Obviously, the drawings have subtly revealed the trend that getting the news from all over the world can just be done by a click of the mouse. The information era can not only let us obtain the information we want in a few minutes, but also allow us to have instant communication. It’s no exaggeration to say that we now live in a smaller world than ever before. However, with the benefits brought by the information era, threats are also on their way. Initially, the internet security has brought lots of trouble to the government and many international companies. Besides, the misuse of internet by youngsters has also caused concerns among citizens.

  To my best understanding, only by regulating the use of the Net and enhance supervision can we make the era to be the momentum for us to make progress.
