The period of adolscence,the person who between childhood and adulthood may be long and short,depending on social expection and on society\'s definition as to what constitutes maturity and adulthood .in primitive societies,adolscence is frequently of relatively short period of time.While in the industrial societies with patterns of prolonged education coupled with law against child labor,the period of adolsence is mach longer and may include most of second decade of one\'s life.Furthermore,the length of the adolscent period and the definitions of adulthood status in a given society as social and economic conditions change.Examples of this types of change are the disappearance of the frontier in the latter part of the nineteenth century in the US,and more universally,the industrialization of an agricultural society.
