1、enterprise  /'ɛntɚ'praɪz/

【词义】n. 事业，企业单位；事业心，进取心

【搭配】state-owned / public enterprises 国有企业；公共事业单位  

2、enthusiastic  /ɪn,θuzɪ'æstɪk/

【词义】adj. 热情的，热心的

【例句】You don't sound very enthusiastic about the idea.

你好像对这个想法不太感兴趣。

3、equality /ɪ'kwɑləti/

【词义】n. 平等；均等；相等:

【搭配】inequality  n. 不平等

【例句】He has proposed a new system designed to remove inequalities in health care.

他提出了一个新体系，旨在废除医疗保险里面的不平等现象。

4、equip  /ɪ'kwɪp/

【词义】v. 使具有，使装备；装备，配备

【例句】The course is designed to equip students for a career in nursing.

此课程旨在使学生能够胜任护理工作。
  

5、equivalent  /ɪ'kwɪvələnt/

【词义】adj. 相等的，等价的；n. 相等物，等价物

【例句】Eight kilometres is roughly equivalent to five miles. 八公里约等于五英里。

Breathing such polluted air is the equivalent of smoking ten cigarettes a day.

呼吸污染这么严重的空气等于每天抽十支烟。  

6、establish  /ə'stæblɪʃ/

【词义】v. 确定，证实；建立设立；得到认可

【例句】The school has established a successful relationship with the local community.

这所学校与当地社区建立了良好的关系。

Police are still trying to establish the cause of the accident.

警方仍在努力确定事故的原因。

7、estimate  /'ɛstə,met/

【词义】v/n. 估计，估价

【例句】The deal is estimated to be worth around $1.5 million.

这笔交易估计价值 150 万元左右。

8、exception /ɪk'sɛpʃən/

【词义】n. 例外，除外

【衍生】exceptional   adj.例外的，异常的，杰出的

【例句】Children are not usually allowed in, but I'm prepared to make an exception in this case.

儿童一般不允许入内,不过这次我可以破例。
