2011级《研究生公共英语》课程教学要求及教学进度安排

第一部分 教学要求
2008年版《非英语专业硕士学位研究生英语教学要求(试行)》指出,作为学位必修课的硕士研究生英语教学包括综合英语和专业英语两部分。综合英语以培养学生的语言应用能力为主,包括语言知识、语言应用、学习策略和跨文化交际等方面的内容。专业英语以培养学生在本学科专业领域用英语进行学术交流和研究的能力为主。根据硕士研究生入学水平和培养目标的不同将硕士研究生英语教学要求分为基本要求和较高要求两个层次。根据我校实际情况,本课程旨在完成综合英语部分内容,以基本要求为指导。
一、 教学对象
本课程的教学对象是福建师范大学全日制在校非英语专业的硕士研究生。
硕士生入学时应达到以下水平:
(1)理解性掌握5000个左右常用单词及370个左右的常用词组(即能正确识别词类,选择词义),对其中1500个左右基本词能复用性掌握(即能正确识别词类,选择词义,英汉互译,熟悉某些常用搭配和用法)并具有初步的构词知识;
(2)掌握基本语法知识(具备大学英语覆盖的语法知识);
(3)能阅读一般难度(相当于大学英语四级课文的难度)的英语读物,理解基本正确,阅读速度为每分钟50词左右;
(4)能将一般难度的英语短文译成汉语,理解基本正确,译文达意;能将一般难度的汉语句子译成英语,内容表达与语法基本正确;
(5)具有初步的写作能力。

三、 课程要求
(一)教学目的
硕士生英语教学的目的是培养学生具有较熟练的阅读能力,一定的写、译能力和基本的听、说能力,能够以英语为工具进行本专业的学习和研究。对听、说能力要求较高的专业,可根据需要,加强听、说能力的培养。
(二)教学要求
本课程旨在完成综合英语教学内容,以基本要求为指导。
硕士生通过课程学习应达到基本要求如下:
(1)理解性掌握7000个左右常用单词及1200个以上的常用词组,复用性掌握其中2500个以上单词;基本掌握常用词根和词缀,并能根据构词法理解和运用派生词。
(2)能基本听懂语速正常、语言规范的日常英语谈话和一般性题材的英语讲座、演讲等口语语料。能理解听力材料的基本内容,掌握中心大意,获取相关信息。
(3)能较顺利地进行英语日常口语交流。能较清晰地描述一般事件;较有效地表达自己的观点、情感和思想;能就一般性话题发表简单评论或进行简短讨论。语言基本准确、流畅、得体。
(4)能读懂不同体裁、一般性题材的英语语料。能理解作者的观点,掌握材料的中心思想和基本内容,获取相关细节,基本理解篇章结构。阅读速度在每分钟80词以上。基本具备快速浏览和检索文献的能力。
(5)基本掌握常用英文文体的写作方法,能就一般性话题在一小时内写出300词以上的文章,内容比较完整,语言表达基本准确、清晰、连贯,格式比较规范。
(6)能翻译一般性题材、难度适中的中、英文材料。英文基本准确、通顺。英译汉的翻译速度在每小时350个英语单词以上,汉译英的翻译速度在每小时300个汉字以上。

注:1. 每次精读课,即每篇阅读课文课时安排计划如下:每篇课文精读三次课六学时,口语一次两学时。
2.教学进度表中有蓝色体字安排的均为上口语课的时间,口语课一共上7次,每次两个课时。口语课必须分组、分小对、分个人按给定主题进行讨论或演讲,要求每个课题学生需进行对话练习,任课教师需作具体记录,总计5分,以算入平时成绩中。
3. 平时成绩计算办法:平时满分为15分。内容包括平时练习(如听写、翻译、作文和小测等)占5分、平时口语课堂参与占5分、满勤占(含精读和听力课程考勤记录)5分。作文需按照安排表中布置,教师需收取学生一篇作文,并修改判分作下记录。
4. 关于平时缺课缺勤的规定如下:缺课三次、请假六次取消期末考试资格;请假三次等同缺席一次;每缺席一次、或每请假两次在期末15分中扣除2分,每请假一次在期末15分中扣除一分。
5.关于请假的认定,学生每次课程的请假条需要有本人,辅导员和导师的签字,并上交到研究生处培养科备案,到期末各任课老师到研究生处取回进请假条进行学生平时成绩的核算。
6.关于重修生平时成绩的考核一律按照正常学生规定进行。

1.由于听力题库来自全部上册书内容,故本册15课全部要上完,听力课进度基本上每周一课。每次课内必须完成Part A、 Part B、 Part D。
2.关于平时缺课缺勤的规定如下:缺课三次、请假六次取消期末考试资格;请假三次等同缺席一次;每缺席一次、或每请假两次在期末15分中扣除2分,请假一次在期末15分中扣除一分。请任课老师严格考勤。
五、评价方式与测试范围:
1.期末成绩的计算:期末考70%;口试15%;平时15%。平时成绩:听力课、精读课和口语课出勤率、上课表现、完成作业情况,口语课堂和精读课堂参与情况等。
2.测试范围:各学期考试类型为Achievement Test, 书本内容约占70%,要求学生认真上好每一课。
3.考试题型:试卷由听力、词汇、阅读理解、意译(Paraphrase)、英译汉、写作六大部分组成,各部分分值如下:
1).听力20%(20分)均来自听力教材
对话10题(每题1分)
复合式听写一篇
2).词汇15%(课本词汇)共30题(每题0.5分)
3).阅读理解30% 每篇设5个问题,共30题,每题1分
4).意译10%(课文)共5题(每题2分)
5).英译汉10%(课文)共5题(每题2分)
6).写作15%
口语上课要求以及考试评分标准
上课要求
1. 小组活动、两人活动、辩论等(group work、pair work & debate)是我们进行口语讨论活动的有效组织形式,希望大家能执行。
2. 口语课有二个学时两方面内容:一方面是口语话题围绕阅读课主题进行,就所给的口语题目和内容进行讨论;二方面任课老师自行安排或继续进行第一节讨论内容,这两节课的主角必须是学生,由学生进行口语对话,或讨论,或辩论或演讲。最后期末口试内容需综合全年段各班讨论的题目的效果进行最后的确定。

口试形式
让学生抽签,就抽到的话题进行陈述(Presentation)三分钟。
口试评分标准
第一档 12分左右
1.单词发音准确,句子有升降调,有起伏 2.条理清楚,重点突出 3.三分钟内至少讲12句
第二档 9分左右
1.单词发音基本准确,句子有升降调有起伏2.条理较清楚重点较突出3.三分钟内至少10句
第三档6分左右
1.单词发音尚可,句子偶尔有升降调,有起伏2.条理不清,重点不突出3.三分钟内至少8句
第四档3分以下
语无伦次,不知所云
