Li Jin, male, born in March 1949, Han nationality, a native of Wujin, Jiangsu Province. He is a Communist Party member and a professor of philosophy. He is now President of Shanghai Normal University, a member of the standing committee of CPC committee of the university, and member of the standing committee of 10th CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) in Shanghai.
        ·From 1969 worked in a farm in Jilin Province.
        ·Began to work in a repairing factory in the same province in 1970.
        ·Joined CPC in 1978.
        ·Began studying philosophy in Beijing Normal University in 1978, and after graduation in               1982, began to work as a teacher in Shanghai Normal University.
        ·Graduated from Master of philosophy program in 1988.
        ·Became associate professor after receiving master’s degree of philosophy from SHNU in
              1988, and full professor in 1994.
        ·From February 1992, served as vice director of Teaching dept. of Shanghai Higher Education
              Bureau, vice director and later director of Higher Education Office of Shanghai Education
              Commission.
        ·From 2000, served as President of Shanghai Donghu Vocational College and Vice Party               secretary, Vice President and Party Secretary of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University.
        He has published more than 10 books and dozens of papers in the fields of philosophical epistemology and education management, and played a chief part in completing over 20 decision consultative research projects for Shanghai Education Commission, Shanghai Municipal Government and Ministry of Education in China. He was awarded twice the second prize for outstanding achievements of social science in Shanghai, twice the second prize and twice the third prize for Outstanding Teaching Achievements in Shanghai.
