  科普类文章相对于生活类文章相比，对专业词汇及相关背景要求较多。下面我们来看一篇文章。

  1.Since the dawn ofhuman ingenuty,people hace decised ecer more cunning tools to cope with workthat is dangerous,boring,burdensome,or just plain nasty.That compulsion hasresulted in robotics—the science of conferring various human capabilities on machines.Andif scientists have yet to create the mechanical version of science fiction,theyhave begun to come close.

  这一段第一句是一定要看明白的，尤其本文第一句是长难句。需要注意的是，“dangerous,boring…nasty”构成了一个列举。留心找个地方可能会出现列举题。

  这段中“As a result…”非常好地扮演了指路标的角色，我们不用看下文就已经明白这一段无非说人们发明机器之后的结果。再往下看，“ Our factories…” “Our banking…”“Oursubway…”等表达的都是对于第一句的细化阐述。这些列子的具体内容不用去记，甚至不用去理解。知道在文章第二段就可以了。这样的主线阅读法能为考生节省大量的宝贵时间。
