Self introduction
Good morning everyone. I am very glad to have the opportunity to be here for this interview. First, please let me introduce myself.
My name is xxx, I am xxyears old. I come from x, a city of x province.
In July 2003, I achieved my bachelor degrees and graduated from the Medical College of Anhui University of Science and Technology. As a Clinic Medicine major, I have learned a lot in these five years, both academically and spiritually. Besides the courses learned in the university, I also paid much attention to other skills, such as computer operation and driving. I got the driving license in 2002, and achieved computer certificate CCT-2. As for my English, CET-4. Obviously it still need improving with my greater endeavor. In the last one year of my undergraduate stage, my practice in the hospital at the A-3 level had also benefited me greatly. It gave me a chance to understand more deeply the knowledge learned from books. I have joined the National Entrance Test for MA/MS Candidates two times. Because of inadequate preparation, I failed last time. But I decided to strive on rather than to give up. I firmly believe that through one year of efforts I can reap what I sowed. Now I am very happy to find that all my hard work has lead to a good result.
For my personality, I am open-minded, quick in thought, industrious and easy-going. I am interested in computers, sports and music. In my spare time, I like reading books, especially those about Personal Computers(PC) and Information Technology(IT). I often exchange my opinions with other people by posting bulletins in the forum online. In addition, during my college years, as a Net-bar clerk, I have got a comparatively good command of network application and information searching on the Internet. Moreover, I am a captain of the football team in my school. I love this game! I like playing football with my schoolmates. Meanwhile I have been a crazy soccer fan for years. The French team is my favorite. Zidane is also the greatest football star in my heart. Anyway, I feel great pity for the failure of our country’s team in the World Cup of Korea and Japan.
There are several reasons for my application to your excellent graduate school:
I had been deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere, high quality teaching and scientific research ability when I was acquainted with the college website on the Internet. In my opinion, as one of the most famous Ophthalmology Institute in our country, it provides students with enough room to get further enrichment. This is the first reason.
The second one is I am longing to do research in this speciality throughout my life, choosing it as my life-long career and devoting all my life to it. I think this is the most important factor for me to make this decision.
Thirdly, although I had learned a lot from my courses and practice during the past five years. I think it is not enough for me to realize self-value. Life is precious. It is necessary to seize any chance for self development, especially in this competitive modern society.
I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. Of course, if I am given a chance to study Ophthalmology in this famous college, I will spare no effort to master a good command of advancement in the subject.
To sum up, I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for my future career after three years study here.
