百变词汇：在汉语中，虽然中文是一样的，但在英文中讲求千变万化，我们还需要通过同义替换进行不同的表达。但在替换时，需注意结合中英文两种语境。

...All these efforts should provide effective institutional safeguards for building a sound ecological environment.
注：第二句和第三句都出现了“生态文明建设”，但前者处理为“生态保护”，后者处理为“建设良好的生态环境”，字面意思虽有变化，但内涵一致，做到了貌离神合。 推进农业供给侧结构性改革

注：最后一句用比较级传达“加大”这层含义，弱化了“力度”这个抽象词汇，句式也更加自然。
数字句型：数字汉英句型，一般而言，以数字开头起句比较好处理；如果数字放在句子中间，就需要调整句子结构。
例如：
将新建改建农村公路20万公里。
A total of 200,000 kilometers of roads will be upgraded or built in rural areas.
将完成3万个行政村通光纤。
1） 30,000 administrative villages will have/ get access to fiber-optic broadband.
2） Fiber-optic broadband will be extended to 30,000 administrative villages. 增长
国内生产总值达到74.4万亿元，增长6.7%，名列世界前茅。工业企业利润由上年下降2.3%转为增长8.5%。
GDP reached 74.4 trillion yuan, representing 6.7-percent growth, and seeing China outpace most other economies. With an 8.5-percent increase in profits, industrial enterprises reversed the previous year's negative growth of 2.3 percent.
注：增长XX%，可译作representing XX% growth, up XX%, an increase of XX%等等；由下降转为增长，用reverse一词很形象，同时选择industrial enterprises作为主语使逻辑十分清晰。

强化大气污染治理，二氧化硫、氮氧化物排放量分别下降5.6%和4%，74个重点城市细颗粒物（PM2.5）年均浓度下降9.1%。
We took stronger measures against air pollution and, as a result, saw a 5.6 percent decline in sulfur dioxide emissions, a 4 percent cut in nitrogen oxide emissions, and a 9.1 percent drop in the annual average density of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in 74 key cities.
注：在表示下降比例时，这一句话里用了三个不同的词来表示，让整个句子读起来非常通顺，不会因为同一个词屡次出现而觉得拗口。
正说反译：常用的汉英翻译技巧，其实很简单，指的就是中文原文是肯定说法，但英文译文是否定说法。
政府工作报告原文呈现： 我们也清醒看到，经济社会发展中还存在不少困难和问题。
Yet we must not lose sight of the many problems and challenges China faces in pursuing economic and social development.
中文原文是“清醒看到”，而英文则用了双重否定表肯定，其中“lose sight of sth”意思是看不见。如果不采用这个翻译技巧，就按原文意思翻译“清醒地看到”，通常翻译为“be fully /clearly aware that+句子。
反说正译：反说正译技巧与正说反译正好相对，即中文原文是否定说法，而英文译文是肯定说法。
政府工作报告原文呈现：
我国发展到现在这个阶段，不靠改革创新没有出路。
Having reached the current stage of development, China can now advance only through reform and innovation.
此处中文很好理解，大致意思是如果不改革创新，中国就不会前进/发展。我们把中文意思换个说法，这句话就成了中国只有通过改革创新才能前进/发展。
这样就成了肯定说法，英文译文就是这样处理的。大家在学习中要多思考，学会用学过的知识进行总结，其实这个过程就是举一反三。 词性转换：词性转换翻译技巧要求熟练掌握，原因就是我们在翻译时经常用到。
政府工作报告原文呈现：
坚持以推进供给侧结构性改革为主线。
Focus on supply-side structural reform.
此处的主线，翻译时词性发生了转变，由名词变换成动词“focus on”。
长句切分技巧：长句切分技巧，一个是中文结构三步走；一个是根据逻辑进行切分。 要坚持以改革开放为动力、以人力人才资源为支撑，加快创新发展//，培育壮大新动能、改造提升传统动能//，推动经济保持中高速增长、产业迈向中高端水平。
We must continue to draw strength from reform and opening up, fully tap the potential of human resources and human capital, and move more quickly to pursue innovation-driven development. // We should foster and develop new growth drivers while transforming and upgrading the traditional growth drivers. These steps will enable China's economy to maintain a medium-high rate of growth and China's industries to move toward the medium-high end.
如果是并列成分，一般翻译成句时两到三个为一组进行切分，上面的栗子也是按照这个原则进行切分的。前两处为动作，最后一处是目的。 长句切分技巧的准确使用关键在于逻辑梳理是否清楚。
人民身心健康、乐观向上，国家必将充满生机活力。
When its people are healthy and optimistic, a country will certainly be full of vitality.
这个句子看似简单，其实里面的逻辑也很复杂，比如人民与国家是有逻辑关系的，人民是一个国家的人民，因此翻译时需要注意所属关系。
前后两个分句间也有逻辑关系，前者给出了时间条件，故而译文选用when来引导句子。
具体概括不相容
这个翻译技巧也叫舍宏观取具体，舍的是概括信息，译的是具体信息。
政府工作报告原文呈现：
繁荣哲学社会科学和文学艺术创作，发展新闻出版、广播影视、档案等事业。
We will work to ensure that philosophy, the social sciences, art, and literature thrive, and promote the development of the press, publishing, radio, television, film, and archiving.
“等事业”属于概括总结词，按照这个翻译原则，翻译时不需要译出来。 这个翻译技巧常用于处理中文中比较抽象的概念，需要转为具体意思进行翻译。政府工作报告原文呈现：
推动中国文化走出去。
We support efforts to share Chinese culture with other countries.
推动中国文化走出去，这里的走出去不能简单翻译为“go global”，而是要翻译真正的内涵。推动中国文化走出去，其实说得直白些就是和其他国家分享中国文化，因此译文选用“share Chinese culture with other countries”。
