The picture above depcits a harmoniuos scene of two neighbors in Lanter Festival.They are exchanging traditional favourites.The bright smile in their face shows they are willing.to share with each other.
Simple as the picture is,the symbolic meaning the picture conveys is deep and pround.To be friendly and in harmony with our others is a traditional Chinese virtue,especially with our neighbors.However this previous virtue is fading in the contemporary society.People concentrate on making money and ignore traditional virtues.Contemporary constructions provide safety as well as saparate individual from masses,producing lonliness.The lack of communication leads to the sense of distrust,and the sence of distrust also aggravates the lack of communication,which is a vicious circle.
In a word,the ignorance of virtues is not only harmful to the personality but also handicap the development of our society.As traditional virtues are the treasure of our culture,it should be inspired at the earlist possibility to children.Social  organizations,such as neighborhood committees,should organize some fellowship activities in order to establish good relationship and trust among neighbors.Only then will we have a harmonious society.
