一、词组翻译（30分）：

二、英译汉（没找到原文，根据印象写的，貌似少了几句）：
    There is always a constant connection between Europe: Europe the bad place for ideology, and yet a fountain-head----an inexhaustible fountain of inspiration. Europe's influence, Europe's greater genius have been denied, admitted, agonized over. America's eventual supremacy has been predicted incessantly. Amricans are urged to forget Europe, to be native writers. But Europe still haunt and heckle the American imagination. Some Americans, indeed, have been better Europeans than any European; from Benjamin Franklin to T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pond, there has always been those who are of remarkable and cosmopolitan sort.
    If Europe has had a complex and mythological function on America, American also has a----though less complex----function on Europe, as a land of newness, roughness, wealth, violence and improbability. Americans are fascinated by this picture of their character but they are a little touchy about it. As many critics say, there is a split between the American writing and the cultivated, Europeanized concept of literature, and the notion of native literature. One critic christened those two types of writers as "palefaces" and "redskins", taking Henry James and Walt Whiteman as representatives. This is a useful simplification for the English readers to bear in mind. Another useful (though not identical) division is those like Whiteman, Melville who reveal the qualities mentioned above and those like Henry James, Hawthorne who are skeptical of their compatriots’ confidence in the moral progress. These are theoretical extremes: no writer in America has fully exemplified either of them.
三、汉译英：关于陕西皮影戏的（今年皮影戏被列入非物质文化遗产了，所以就出了这么个题吧）
内容是一片导游词（百度上能搜到，谢天谢地，不然又费不少脑细胞~~~）：
        皮影戏是中国民间广为流传的道具戏之一，通过灯光把雕刻精巧的皮影戏映照在屏幕上，由艺人们在幕后操动影人，伴以音乐和歌唱，是一种深受人民喜爱的古老而又奇特的戏曲艺术。
        皮影戏历史悠久。相传萌芽于汉，发展于唐，兴盛在宋朝。陕西皮影不仅唱腔种类繁多，表演技术高超，而且皮影匠人的雕刻技艺也达到了很高的水平。
        陕西皮影制作考究，刀法细腻，刻法精良，色泽亮丽，纹饰优美，极具装饰性。陕西皮影以其古朴典雅的风格，独树一格，不仅可以用来演皮影性，还可做艺术品观赏。（这一段网上没找着，考试内容也就这些）
